Driving traffic to your social media accounts can be almost as confusing and hazardous as driving in Houston, Texas! Thanks to Virginia for sharing this great information with us.
A great way to drive a lot of traffic to your page, whether it be Facebook, a website or a blog, is to utilize the Pinterest community (or group) boards!
It's a pretty simple concept. You share your high quality content to a board and others will then pin your content to their personal Pinterest boards. Doing this will help grow interest in your Pinterest page following. It will also help you gain exposure and drive more traffic to your business websites and social media pages.
It is extremely important for you to link your Pinterest page to your business.
Here are the steps for switching from a personal account to business:
Step 1: Go to business.pinterest.com, and click the red 'Convert your existing account' button.
Step 2: Next, select your 'Business Type,' and update your 'Contact Name,' and 'Email Address,' if necessary.
You can also find ideas and content for your own personal boards from other "pinners." The point is to share each others work so it's a win-win situation for everyone.😏
It's been my experience that finding boards that aren't closed to new contributors is kind of tricky, but you can search for "top group boards to join" in the Pinterest link and then pick one in your niche and see if they are accepting new people.
Although you need to understand that simply following the group board will not allow you to post to the board. You will need to request to be added by meeting the requirements set by the board.
Every group board has different ways and rules for joining. It may be confusing for some people, especially if you are just a casual user of Pinterest. You will need to follow the board and then request to be added as a contributor.
Community boards fill up VERY quickly and then close to new members as there is a great demand to become a member of these groups.
I have set up a board specifically for furniture painters and related topics. Flipping Furniture & DIY (please use this link and follow the instructions to be added.) If you believe you can contribute great content specifically related to furniture painting and do-it-yourself topic please join me. Contact me if you have any questions.
